FLIGHT OPTIONS:

Lookout Mountain
1.  FOOT LAUNCH LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN

**2016 Lookout flights tentatively begin in mid July b/c of construction in our Landing Zone**  OUCH!

The most popular flight with Hang Glide Colorado provides a unique and convenient mix of mountain flying on the edge of Golden, Colorado.

We start our flight at 6,850 ft MSL and enjoy the views of the front range and Golden as we fly next to the School of Mines "M".  Flights at Lookout typically last 5 minutes but often go longer depending on air conditions.

Come prepared for hanging out on the hill for a bit as weather delays can happen.  If weather pushes back your appointment, or requires that we reschedule, hang in there, we promise your flight will be worth the wait!

General Requirements: We require that our foot launching passengers weigh less than 175 pounds. Please contact us if you weigh more than 175 pounds and depending on individual circumstances, we may be able to accomodate you.

SchedulingBook your flight time by clicking HERE.  The Lookout flying season is from April through October.  As this is a very weather dependent activity, I'll confirm your flight time via email the day before you are booked to fly.

Location: The landing zone is a 15 minute drive west of Denver.  *Specific locaton and directions will be provided upon reservations.

When you get there: We’ll meet in the planned landing zone and organize our drive up to launch.  When we're at the launch site, we'll start with some basic and required instruction regarding safety, regulations governing our flying and the equipment that we'll be using. We'll sign some waivers.  We’ll practice our coordinated launch run without the glider, then we'll fly!

What to wear: We recommend bundling up with plenty of layers.  Closed toes shoes are recommended and eye protection is required so we suggest sunglasses. Helmets and other flying equipment are provided.

Aerotow
2.  AEROTOW

**2016 Aerotowing season beginning mid July**

An aerotow flight is where we employ a specially designed ultralight aircraft to pull us up into the air.  Once we reach the desired height, we release from the tow rope to explore the sky.

The views of the front range are incredible from Pikes Peak up to Boulder.  Choose your tow height of 2,000, 2,500 or 3,500 feet, the higher we go, the more time we can soak up the view.  Extra altitude also gives the opportunity to let you experience controlling the glider as well as lets me demonstrate the incredible freedom of a roller coaster without a track (also by request).

Please be prepared to spend much of the day on location. Unfortunately, weather delays are fairly common, and we only fly in safe conditions.  If weather pushes back your appointment, we ask for your patience and promise your flight will be worth the wait!

General Requirements: We require that our aerotowing passengers weigh less than 200 pounds. Please contact us if you weigh more than 200 pounds and depending on individual circumstances, we may be able to accomodate you.

Scheduling:  The Aerotow season is from April through November and we typically fly during mornings and evenings.  As this is a very weather dependent activity, we'll confirm the day and time to arrive via email on the day before you are booked to fly.

Location: The airfiled is ~90 minutes east of Denver, depending on your location. *Specific locaton and directions will be provided upon reservations.

When you get there: We start with some basic and required instruction regarding safety, regulations governing our flying and the equipment that we'll be using. We'll sign some waivers. Then we'll fly!

What to wear: We recommend bundling up with plenty of layers.  Closed toes shoes are recommended and eye protection is required so we suggest sunglasses. Helmets and other flying equipment are provided.

3.  FOOT LAUNCH WILLIAMS MOUNTAIN

When foot launching, we will run down the side of Williams Mountain and launch into the air.  It's incredibly rewarding to run down the hill as the glider takes flight and carries us over the Colorado mountain landscape.

Launching at an elevation of 10,400 feet you can enjoy the views of the Gore Range and Green Mountain Reservoir as we fly down 2,000 feet to the landing zone.  Flights at Williams typically last at least 10 minutes and may last longer depending on air conditions.  Due to access roads, Williams is a seasonal site typically open May to mid-November.

Please be prepared to spend much of the day on location. Unfortunatley, weather delays are fairly common, and we only fly in safe conditions.  If weather pushes back your appointment, we ask for your patienece and promise your flight will be worth the wait!

General Requirements We require that our foot launching passengers weigh less than 175 pounds.  Please consider an Aerotowing flight instead (just as much fun and adventure!)

Scheduling:  Williams is open in the late summer and Fall.  As this is a very weather dependent activity, we'll confirm the flight time via email on the day before you are booked to fly.  Williams flights are typically really early in the morning!

Location: The landing zone is ~90 minutes west of Denver, depending on your location.  *Specific locaton and directions will be provided upon reservations.

When you get there We’ll meet in the planned landing zone and organize our drive up to launch in my vehicle (high clearance 4x4 road).
